Dirk Erickson serves with the Louisiana National Guard. He enlisted in 1985 as an infantry soldier and accepted a commission in 1998. His last position was commander of the 61st Troop Command and he is currently the garrison commander of Camp Beauregard. He holds a Bachelor of Science from SLU and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is married to Beth Erickson and they have two daughters in college.\n
